Insights on business -- and life.
The Future of Makin's USA
Changes and improvements are in the works.
by Annie Mangelsen, (June 2, 2008)
In March of 2008, the craft industry lost another pioneer. William
(Bill) Mangelsen, founder of Makin's Clay, passed away in
Hong Kong. Bill is missed very much by family members and friends
alike. Bil's presence in the lives of those he touched can never be
replaced, but his dreams will live on. Details of memorial services
planned in Omaha and Chicago will be passed along as they are
finalized by the family.
Make's USA is in the process of evaluating business
operations in their domestic and international offices. Changes are
already underway to ensure long-term stability and to maximize
growth potential for both companies. Makin's USA has added
several new team members to pursue sales in new market segments and
improve efficiencies in the front office, order processing, and
product fulfillment areas. Makins USA is excited with the
anticipation of emerging new business partnerships as well as
overall growth opportunities."
Makin's USA will be welcoming visitors at their booth at the
CHA summer Show in Chicago this July.
Makin's USA is a third-generation, family-owned
importer/distributor business located in Omaha. Makin's USA is
authorized to import, sell, and distribute Makin's Clay and Makin's
brand products, tools, and accessories in North America. Makin's
Clay is recognized worldwide in the craft industry as an
environmentally safe, high-quality, no-bake polymer clay. Makin's
Clay products, tools, and accessories are sold by national
retailers, independent retailers, and online retailers in the U.S.
